Wednesday – Visit the Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market today for Wellness Wednesday featuring market recipes, health tips from Wellness sponsor Rex Healthcare, and lots of local goodies!

Thursday – The 2013 North Carolina State Fair starts today and runs through Sunday, October 27. Enjoy rides like the Super Shot and Tilt-a-Whirl while snacking on fair favorites like funnel cake and corn dogs. Be sure to check the calendar for special events like the Demolition Derby and Tractor Pull!

Saturday – Come out on Saturday for Hoopsfest 2013 and support the Healing Place of Wake County. All ages are encouraged to participate!

Saturday –It’s Pie Day at the Midtown Farmer’s Market! Come sample more than 10 varieties of pie and vote for your favorites.

Saturday – Register and run in the 3pm Oktoberfest Run Green 8k and receive a free beer after the finish line! The after-party in Moore Square is made even better by the chance to win a $3000 travel voucher.

Saturday– Shop for a cause at Apricot Lane. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Apricot Lane is donating 10% of sales to the Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate. Get a head start on your holiday shopping and help fight breast cancer at the same time!

Sunday – Indulge in a tour of Italy at Ruth’s Chris in North Hills. Fine Italian wines paired with regionally inspired dishes make for a decadent, but well-deserved start to the week. $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
